When HiveTracks first came to us, they were struggling with a failing app and a dwindling bank account. Their vision of saving the planet through technology was on the verge of collapse. With a poor 2.3-star rating, no working product, and no means to generate revenue, HiveTracks faced a critical juncture: evolve or perish. They needed a partner who could not only rescue their app but also revive their entire business model. Mountain Dev proposed a partnership, offering to rebuild the app partly in exchange for equity. We focused on core features and user experience, transforming the app from a liability into an asset of advanced features like HiveTracks Pro and the HoneyTrail blockchain integration, with ongoing support and strategic consulting. To create stability and improve user experience, we rewrote the codebase using modern JavaScript frameworks. We implemented a serverless architecture with Vercel, enabling seamless deployment and scaling. The frontend was rebuilt using React and React Native, ensuring consistency across iOS, Android, and web platforms. Collaborating with HiveTracks, we redesigned core user flows for intuitive navigation and streamlined data entry. Leveraging Vercel's edge network and Next.js, we significantly improved load times and performance. This approach, combined with serverless functions and an integrated CI/CD pipeline, allows us to focus on enhancing user experiences while ensuring rapid, reliable deployments.
